Term Definition

Finger Protectors: Rubberized protectors that are typically worn on the index finger and thumb to protect the stylist’s fingers when applying fusion bonded hair extensions. These are typically worn as part of the fusion application where heat is being applied to melt the keratin and then pressed or rolled to connect the hair extension to the customer’s hair. Although these are not required, they do protect the customer’s fingers from being burned.
