Term Definition
Lowlights

These are the opposite of highlights in that they darken your hair. These are used to provide depth to the hair, and as an alternative to graying hair. For example, if a customer has natural blonde hair, they would want a lowlight shade with gold in it to complement the light blonde. No matter what your natural shade of color is, you should never go more than three shades darker than your natural color or your hair will end up looking harsh and unnatural.
