Term	Definition
Strand	Term used in the hair extension industry to refer to one Keratin Tip or i-Tip extension. Within each hair extension strand, there are numerous individual hairs (approximately 50). To complete a customer’s hair, it usually requires between 100 and 150 strands. For highlights, customers will typically purchase 10 or more to provide color in various parts of their head.
