Always Wanted to Smell Like Bacon and Tea? Now You Can!

If you thought that gourmand fragrances were a little too "foodie" for your tastes, then I don't know what you're going to make of these two recent perfume releases. First up, allow me to introduce Bacōn (pronounced bay-cone for added classiness) - a fragrance made with "11 popular pure essential oils and an ever so slight hint of . . . bacon." The rediscovered "secret recipe" of John Fargginay, a Parisian butcher who "discovered the ability to dramatically elevate his customers’ mood" using bacon, essential oils and herbs; the formula was lost in a fire in 1924 and the current Bacōn is Fargginay founder John Leydon's attempt to recreate the scent.

Also just launched is Le Brew, a tea-smelling scent by British tea company, Tetley. According to Tetley’s Senior Tea blender, Joyce Muendo, "The fragrance contains tones of tea alongside oak moss and clary sage to create a relaxing and totally fresh scent . . . just like a great cup of Tetley."
