Kelly Cutrone, the uber-fashion publicist - her company People's Revolution has helped look after big-name brands such as Sass & Bide, Ksubi, Camilla & Marc, Bulgari and Agent Provocateur - and star ofKell on Earth is in Australia right now and we got the chance to grab five minutes of her time yesterday to talk about her involvement with avant-garde British beauty brand, Illamasqua. Kelly was such a delight to chat to - so warm and chatty - and she told us how much she loved Australia and joked about her initial reaction to being approached by a beauty brand!
BellaSugar: "How are you enjoying your time in Australia?"
Kelly Cutrone: "I love it here! I feel so at home, just like I do in Toronto, Paris and LA. The people are so friendly. I love it!"
Bella: "So tell us how you came to be involved with Illamasqua?"
Kelly: "Well I got introduced to the brand and Julian [Kynaston] through my work with Agent Provocateur. [Joe Corre, co-founder of Agent Provocateur has a 10 percent stake in Illamasqua]. When they first asked me to come on board, I was like 'Dude, I don't wear makeup!' But I was keen to consult. It's those moments of opportunity, where you create the news and build stories that I love. And I was really keen on interweaving my personal success into the Sophie Lancaster Foundation."
