Here are the secrets to great looking hair extensions:
a) Using professional quality human hair
b) Application of at least 6 ounces of hair
c) Professional, hydrating, shampoo and conditioner (such as Pureology, Kerastese, Joico, Redken)
d) Deep conditioning treatment once a week
e) Argan oil (also called Moroccan oil)
f) Leave in conditioner
g) Professional styling products, no alcohol
h) Styling effort (blow dryer, hot rollers, curling iron, straightener)
i) Heat protectant serum or spray
j) Wear some makeup
I use European/Indian hair for my extensions but my real hair is a little wavier and damaged/frizzier than the extensions.
To make sure everything blends, I use good products, blow dry straight, and then style with hot rollers - then I don't have to wash/style my hair again for 3 to 4 days.
(Sometimes I use a curling iron or a straightener - but not all the time as high heat damages any kind of hair.)
